Pokémon GO players will have a much easier time obtaining Kingambit during the upcoming Pawniard Community Day. The event takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, and introduces a temporary change to one of the game’s more demanding evolution requirements.
Alongside increased Pawniard spawns and improved Shiny opportunities, players can evolve Bisharp into Kingambit with significantly less effort.
Pawniard Community Day Arrives November 21
The upcoming Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Pawniard, a Dark- and Steel-type Pokémon originally introduced in the Unova region.
The event runs from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM local time on November 21.
During these three hours, Pawniard will appear more frequently in the wild. Players will also have an increased chance of encountering its Shiny variant.
However, the biggest attraction might not be the increased spawn rate. Instead, the temporary evolution adjustment could save players considerable time.
Kingambit Evolution Requirements Reduced
Normally, evolving Bisharp into Kingambit requires more than simply collecting Candy.
Players must obtain 100 Pawniard Candies and defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Raid Bosses while meeting the required Bisharp conditions.
This process can become frustrating, especially for players who rarely participate in raids.
Fortunately, the upcoming Community Day introduces a major improvement.
Players will only need to defeat one Dark- or Steel-type Raid Boss instead of 15.
Furthermore, Bisharp does not need to be assigned as your Buddy to benefit from this temporary adjustment. However, players must include Bisharp in their raid team.
The Candy requirement remains unchanged.
Players Have Until 9 PM to Take Advantage
Although Pawniard Community Day ends at 5:00 PM, the reduced evolution requirement remains available until 9:00 PM local time.
This gives players four additional hours to complete the necessary raid and evolve their Bisharp.
After 9:00 PM, the evolution requirement returns to its normal conditions.
Players who already own a Bisharp can also benefit from this adjustment. There is no requirement to catch or evolve a new Pawniard during the event.
A Welcome Change for Pokémon GO Players
Kingambit’s usual evolution requirements can feel unnecessarily time-consuming, particularly for casual players.
Reducing the raid requirement from 15 victories to just one makes the evolution considerably more accessible.
It also gives players who have been holding onto a strong Bisharp an excellent opportunity to finally obtain Kingambit.
However, the temporary nature of this adjustment means players should plan ahead. Missing the deadline means returning to the standard evolution process.
For anyone still missing Kingambit from their Pokédex, November 21 could be the perfect opportunity to complete that entry without spending hours grinding raids.
