Call of Duty fans hoping to earn another Platinum Trophy might be disappointed. A leaked PlayStation trophy list for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 suggests that the upcoming shooter will launch without a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation 5.
The leak also reveals something unusual. Every trophy currently listed focuses exclusively on the single-player campaign, with multiplayer achievements nowhere to be found.
Modern Warfare 4 Has Just 18 Trophies So Far
According to information first spotted by PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, Modern Warfare 4 currently features just 18 PlayStation trophies.
The leaked trophy breakdown includes:
- 8 Gold Trophies
- 10 Silver Trophies
- 0 Bronze Trophies
- 0 Platinum Trophies
All 18 trophies relate to the game’s campaign. Players will need to complete various challenges, including finishing the story on the highest difficulty.
Other achievements involve collecting 50 collectibles and completing specific mission objectives under certain difficulty requirements.
For trophy hunters, the list looks surprisingly small compared to previous Call of Duty releases.
However, players should remember that this information comes from a leak. Activision has not officially confirmed the complete trophy list.
Call of Duty HQ Could Be Responsible
The missing Platinum Trophy might have a familiar explanation.
Modern Warfare 4 reportedly uses the Call of Duty HQ application, which combines multiple Call of Duty releases under one launcher.
On PlayStation, this approach can cause newer games to appear as additional content rather than completely separate titles.
This previously happened with Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7.
Because PlayStation generally does not award separate Platinum Trophies to DLC content, Modern Warfare 4 could follow the same pattern.
While the unified launcher might make managing multiple Call of Duty titles easier, it continues to create frustration for players who enjoy collecting Platinum Trophies.
After all, completing an entire premium game should arguably come with the opportunity to earn its own Platinum Trophy.
Where Are the Multiplayer Trophies?
Another interesting detail involves the complete absence of multiplayer achievements.
Previous Call of Duty games typically included additional trophies covering multiplayer activities, challenges, and progression.
Yet the leaked Modern Warfare 4 list contains nothing related to online multiplayer.
There are also no trophies associated with DMZ, despite speculation that the mode could receive additional attention.
This raises the possibility that the leaked list represents only the campaign portion of the game.
Activision could add more trophies closer to launch or release additional trophy sets through future updates.
Until the publisher confirms the final list, players should avoid assuming that these 18 trophies represent everything Modern Warfare 4 will offer.
Modern Warfare 4 Launches October 23
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026.
With release day approaching, fans should not have to wait much longer to discover whether additional achievements are coming.
For now, the biggest disappointment remains the apparent absence of a Platinum Trophy.
Trophy hunters already experienced similar frustrations with previous Call of Duty releases, and Modern Warfare 4 appears ready to continue that trend.
Whether Activision eventually changes its approach remains uncertain.
One thing is clear: players who purchase a full-priced Call of Duty game deserve a trophy system that treats it like a standalone release.
