GamingHQ Proudly Celebrates Helping Over 50 Game Developers and Studios

At GamingHQ, gaming has always been about more than simply playing games and writing reviews. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of supporting more than 50 independent game developers and studios with their projects. Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate their achievements and the incredible progress many of them have made.

From small indie projects to ambitious games with big dreams, we have seen developers turn their ideas into something special. Watching these projects grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of running GamingHQ.

And the best part? We never needed a big paycheck to make it worthwhile.

Over 50 Developers and Studios Supported

Behind every game is a developer or team putting countless hours into bringing their vision to life. Unfortunately, creating a game is not cheap, and success rarely happens overnight.

That is why GamingHQ has always been happy to lend a helping hand wherever possible.

Our contributions have included:

  • Game Translations: Helping developers reach more players by translating their games and improving localization.
  • Closed Alpha and Beta Testing: Getting our hands on early builds to identify problems before the public experiences them.
  • Extensive Game Testing: Spending countless hours testing mechanics, finding bugs, identifying balancing issues, and providing detailed, constructive feedback.
  • Gameplay Improvements: Suggesting new features, mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements that could make games more enjoyable.
  • Keeping Our Mouths Shut: Yes, we can actually keep secrets! We have signed our fair share of NDAs over the years. Believe it or not, we have managed to keep our mouths shut. A remarkable achievement for a gaming news website, right?

Some projects required only a little assistance, while others involved weeks or even months of testing, feedback, and discussions.

Regardless of the time invested, our goal has remained the same: help developers create better games.

So, How Much Money Have We Earned?

Now comes the question everyone has probably been waiting for.

After helping more than 50 developers and studios, surely GamingHQ must have earned a fortune?

Well, prepare yourselves for these absolutely breathtaking financial results.

Our total earnings:

  • €0.00 in monetary compensation.
  • Free game keys for ourselves and our content creators.
  • A genuine thank-you and a smile.
  • Our names appearing in game credits as recognition for our contributions.

That is it. No mountains of cash, no luxury sports cars, and certainly no private islands.

Our accountants must be absolutely thrilled.

Jokes aside, we genuinely appreciate every developer who has acknowledged our contributions. Seeing our names in the credits or receiving a simple thank-you means more than some people might think.

It shows that our time and effort made a difference.

Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees, and Neither Do Successful Games

One thing we have learned over the years is that developing a game takes patience, dedication, and financial sacrifices.

A developer cannot simply release their first game and expect it to generate enough income to pay everyone involved.

Many independent developers invest their personal savings, free time, and countless sleepless nights into projects that might never become financially successful.

We understand that reality.

That is also why GamingHQ prefers to see a game grow before discussing financial compensation.

If we can help a small developer improve their project, attract more players, and build a stronger foundation, we consider that a worthwhile investment of our time.

Once a game becomes successful and starts generating a sustainable income, we can always have a friendly conversation about a small compensation for the hours and effort invested.

Until then, we would rather see that money go toward improving the game.

After all, a successful developer might eventually create another fantastic game. And another. And perhaps even build a studio that employs dozens of people.

That possibility is worth supporting.

A Small Request: Please Don’t Sell Your Game to tinyBuild

Of course, we do have one very important request for developers we help.

Please, for the love of gaming, don’t sell your game to tinyBuild.

Yes, we had to sneak that one in.

Those familiar with GamingHQ’s history will probably understand why that particular publisher is not exactly at the top of our Christmas card list.

We have learned a few lessons from previous experiences, and some of them were considerably less enjoyable than others.

Nevertheless, we refuse to let negative experiences change our willingness to support passionate developers who genuinely care about their projects.

Just promise us you will think twice before signing anything, alright?

Watching Developers Grow Is the Real Reward

There is something special about testing an unfinished game, providing feedback, and returning months later to discover how much it has improved.

Features that were once only suggestions become part of the finished experience. Bugs that previously caused frustration disappear. Gameplay systems evolve, and small projects slowly become complete games.

Sometimes, our suggestions make it into the final release. Other times, developers take our feedback and come up with something even better.

Either way, seeing that progress makes the time worthwhile.

We are especially proud of the developers who started with very little and continued pushing forward despite the challenges.

Not every game becomes a bestseller, and not every studio grows into a major company. That does not make their efforts any less valuable.

A Thank-You to Every Developer Who Trusted GamingHQ

To the more than 50 developers and studios who have welcomed us into their projects over the years: thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with early builds, unfinished features, confidential information, and your creative ideas.

Thank you for listening to our feedback, even when we probably sent you a ridiculously long list of bugs and suggestions.

And most importantly, thank you for continuing to create games.

The gaming industry needs passionate developers willing to experiment, take risks, and create something different.

GamingHQ is proud to have played even a small role in helping your projects move forward.

We might have earned €0, but we have gained experiences, friendships, and memories that money cannot buy.

Here is to the next 50 developers and studios.

And who knows? Perhaps one day we will finally earn enough from all this testing to buy ourselves a decent cup of coffee.

Until then, keep developing, keep improving, and keep making games worth playing.

With love,

GamingHQ
