Bandai Namco Sparks Dragon Ball: The Breakers Shutdown Concerns

Fans are beginning to question the future of Dragon Ball: The Breakers after the game was noticeably absent from Bandai Namco’s promotional material at DreamCon. While the publisher has not announced any plans to discontinue the title, the omission has fueled speculation that support for the asymmetrical multiplayer game could be winding down.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers Missing From DreamCon Material

Released in 2022, Dragon Ball: The Breakers offered a unique multiplayer experience that pitted seven survivors against an iconic Dragon Ball Raider. Although the concept stood out from other Dragon Ball games, the title received mixed reviews and struggled to maintain the same popularity as the franchise’s larger releases.

During DreamCon in Texas, Bandai Namco distributed a leaflet highlighting several active Dragon Ball games. The brochure included titles such as the newly announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 alongside Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. However, Dragon Ball: The Breakers was completely absent from the promotional material.

The omission has led many players to wonder whether Bandai Namco is shifting its focus away from the game.

Lack of New Content Adds to the Speculation

The concerns extend beyond the missing DreamCon leaflet.

The game’s last major seasonal update launched in July 2025, and Bandai Namco has yet to reveal a Season 10 roadmap. The long silence surrounding future updates has left many fans uncertain about the game’s future.

While gaps between content updates are not unusual, the combination of no new season announcement and the absence from official promotional material has strengthened speculation that active development may have slowed significantly.

No Official Shutdown Announcement

At the time of writing, Bandai Namco has not announced that Dragon Ball: The Breakers is shutting down.

The publisher has also not confirmed that support has ended or provided a timeline for future updates. As a result, any claims that the game is being discontinued remain speculative.

However, games approaching the end of their lifecycle are often removed from marketing campaigns before official announcements are made, which explains why some fans see the DreamCon omission as a possible warning sign.

Until Bandai Namco provides an official update, the future of Dragon Ball: The Breakers remains uncertain.
