FiveM for GTA 5 Enhanced is set to receive one of its biggest updates yet. The new Early Access build launches on July 21, bringing major improvements to networking, server performance, scripting, and developer tools. The update also introduces several quality-of-life improvements for players, making custom GTA 5 servers smoother and easier to manage.
While Rockstar Games remains focused on Grand Theft Auto 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the latest FiveM improvements show that GTA 5’s modding community continues to receive significant support.
Faster Network Synchronization
One of the biggest upgrades is the improved network synchronization system.
FiveM increases its synchronization rate from 30 updates per second to as many as 120 updates per second. This significantly reduces the delay between player actions and what other players see in-game.
Busy roleplay, racing, and action servers should benefit from more responsive gameplay and smoother interactions.
Better Performance on Large Servers
The update also improves how the game handles large numbers of players and world objects.
Enhanced entity culling reduces visual delays in crowded areas, helping servers remain responsive during large events or highly populated sessions.
Server owners can also expect lower resource usage. The updated Cfx Server system can reduce memory consumption by up to 50% in certain situations, allowing servers to run more efficiently.
New Tools for Developers
FiveM’s latest Early Access build adds several improvements for developers and server administrators.
These include:
- Expanded scripting support.
- Improved performance tracking.
- Better developer tools.
- New monitoring metrics.
- Enhanced performance profiling.
These additions make it easier to identify performance bottlenecks and maintain large community servers.
Rockstar’s Cfx.re team also continues working toward supporting more than the current 2,048-player limit, with larger-scale public testing planned for the future.
Quality-of-Life Improvements for Players
Players also receive several welcome improvements.
Installation has been simplified, cache management has been improved, and outdated server files are now removed automatically. This helps prevent unnecessary storage usage while making switching between servers more reliable.
Overall runtime stability has also been improved, reducing common issues during gameplay.
GTA 5 Still Has a Long Future
Although Rockstar is concentrating on GTA 6, FiveM continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Millions of players still enjoy custom roleplay servers, racing communities, survival experiences, and countless other player-created modes.
With major networking upgrades, improved performance, and better server management tools arriving in Early Access on July 21, FiveM for GTA 5 Enhanced remains one of the strongest reasons why GTA 5 continues to thrive years after its original release.
