However, some of the backlash appears to misunderstand how GTA 6 actually works.
GTA 6 TikTok Videos Are Going Viral
One of the biggest videos comes from TikTok creator Shelby Haas, who reportedly declared:
“In absolutely no human way is my fiancé playing GTA 6.”
The video has reportedly reached around 815,000 views, alongside approximately 94,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments.
Haas pointed toward several elements of GTA 6 as reasons for her position. These reportedly include Lucia reacting to text messages, potential date activities, strip clubs, and a nudist colony that previously appeared in leaked information.
Other TikTok creators, including Trinity, CaitlynandTahir, and Lisabisa, have joined the conversation. Some appear serious about preventing their partners from playing, while others have mocked the controversy or treated it as a joke.
Regardless of how serious every individual video actually is, the discussion has become another viral GTA 6 talking point.
GTA 6’s Extended Look May Have Fueled the Debate
The controversy follows Rockstar’s massive GTA 6 Extended Look, which provided roughly 27 minutes of footage.
The presentation offered a much closer look at Jason and Lucia while demonstrating just how detailed their relationship could become.
One small example showed Jason being able to tell Lucia to “Hurry Up” while she was getting ready. Moments like this suggest players may have some influence over how the pair communicate and interact.
That relationship system has seemingly caught the attention of TikTok.
However, some reactions appear to have interpreted these mechanics as if maintaining a virtual relationship with Lucia is the primary objective of GTA 6.
That does not appear to be the case.

The difference this time could simply be the scale of GTA 6’s audience.

As a result, people who normally pay little attention to Grand Theft Auto are now discussing individual mechanics before the game has even been released.

Unsurprisingly, telling an adult that they are “not allowed” to play a video game has generated plenty of criticism.

GTA 6 Hasn’t Even Released Yet
Perhaps the strangest part of the entire controversy is that nobody outside Rockstar has experienced the complete game yet.
