7 Days to Die V3.0.1 Stable Update Fixes PvP, Zombie, and Cosmetic Bugs

The Fun Pimps have released the 7 Days to Die V3.0.1 Stable Update, bringing another round of bug fixes following the launch of V3.0. While the update does not introduce new content, it focuses on improving stability and resolving several issues reported by the community.

The patch addresses problems ranging from cosmetic glitches and PvP bugs to server stability and dedicated server issues, making the overall experience smoother across all platforms.

Sign Tech Receives Stability Improvements

One of the biggest technical changes in V3.0.1 focuses on the Sign Tech system. The developers improved error handling to prevent crashes and fixed an issue that could trigger an ArgumentNullException when players joined multiplayer games.

Another networking-related issue involving NetPackageLockRequest has also been resolved, further improving multiplayer stability.

Cosmetic and Character Bugs Fixed

Several visual issues have been addressed in this update.

Beachwear cosmetics now function correctly after multiple reports from players. The developers also fixed several male and female outfits that appeared without arms, restoring the intended character models.

Localization improvements were included as well, preventing overlapping text from appearing on player screens.

PvP, Loot, and Gameplay Fixes

V3.0.1 fixes several gameplay issues that affected progression and multiplayer.

Players could previously receive PvP damage even when killing settings should have prevented it. That issue has now been corrected.

Other gameplay fixes include:

  • Zombie loot bags now display the correct name and inventory action buttons.
  • Item maximum degradation can no longer reset by restarting the game and rejoining a server.
  • Players can once again pick up user-placed items at claimed traders.
  • Airdrops now correctly appear at night when the sandbox setting is configured for nighttime drops.
  • Downtown filler prefab downtown_filler_30 now has a destructible door frame as intended.

Challenge and UI Improvements

The update also resolves several challenge tracking problems.

Biome zombie kills on dedicated servers now count correctly toward Kill Challenges when the Celebrate option is enabled. The console error that appeared after those kills has also been eliminated.

On the user interface side, players will no longer see the splash screen message behind the main menu during loading. The Shape Menu no longer accidentally favorites shapes when pressing the S key while searching, and Custom Preset summaries now properly refresh after changes are made.

The developers also corrected overlapping text inside the Prefab Editor, fixed an error when changing Random World Generation preview quality, and removed the World Editor from consoles where it should never have appeared.

Small Update, Important Fixes

Although V3.0.1 is a relatively small patch, it tackles many of the issues players reported after the V3.0 release. Multiplayer stability, progression tracking, cosmetic problems, and several frustrating gameplay bugs have all received attention, resulting in a more polished survival experience while players wait for future content updates.
