Battlefield 6 has finally launched, but many players faced serious problems accessing the game. EA has apologized and confirmed compensation for those affected by the EA App and server outages during release day.
EA App Problems on Launch Day
When the game went live, players flooded servers in huge numbers. Unfortunately, the EA App struggled to keep up. Some users were locked out entirely, receiving messages that they didn’t own the game, while others were stuck in long server queues or unable to connect at all.
EA quickly released a fix to resolve the launcher issue and restore access. The company has since promised additional stability updates to ensure a smoother experience moving forward.
EA Offers Boosters and Battle Pass Rewards
To make up for the rocky launch, EA is compensating affected Battlefield 6 players with in-game rewards. Impacted users will receive 12 Hardware Boosters and 12 Career 60-minute Boosters in their in-game inboxes this weekend.
In addition, those who couldn’t access the game due to the launcher glitch will get a free full-season Battle Pass. Players who already own the Phantom Edition — which includes Season 1 — will instead receive the Season 2 Battle Pass at no cost.
Many fans have appreciated EA’s swift response, noting that the publisher’s transparency helped ease frustration following the initial launch chaos.
A Strong Start Despite Technical Setbacks
Despite the early issues, Battlefield 6 had a strong debut. Over 700,000 concurrent players joined the fight on Steam during launch day, signaling major interest in the franchise’s latest entry.
EA hopes to reach 100 million total players, a goal that will rely on consistent performance, stable servers, and community trust. While launch day wasn’t perfect, EA’s quick recovery and compensation plan have set a positive tone for what could become one of the series’ biggest successes yet.
