The Pokémon Trading Card Game is entering a new era with the highly anticipated Mega Evolution expansion. For the first time since the X & Y era, Mega Pokémon are returning to the competitive scene, and Pokémon TCG Live is giving fans the opportunity to try them out through two free decks available in its newest Battle Pass.
Mega Evolution Expansion Brings Back Fan Favorites
Mega Evolution reintroduces powerful Mega forms to the TCG, headlined by Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex. Additional Mega Pokémon, including Venusaur, Mawile, and Latios, have also been confirmed for the set. These Mega Pokémon act as stronger versions of existing “ex” cards but come with the risk of granting opponents three Prize Cards when knocked out.
