Community Update: Website Plans and Preparing for Defendia

No Major Website Overhaul Planned

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reviewing what direction we want to take with our community website. At one point, the idea of transforming it into something entirely new was on the table. However, after digging into the practical side of things, it became clear that such a shift simply isn’t possible right now.

Budgets are always a deciding factor, and while we thought we had room to explore a redesign, a few overlooked details quickly showed us otherwise. The cost difference between what we imagined and what’s actually required is larger than we anticipated. Instead of pouring resources into changes that could put a strain on the community, we’ve decided to stay the course and focus on keeping things running smoothly.

That doesn’t mean nothing will change. We’ll still improve and update the site where possible, but it will remain the hub you all know. Of course, maintaining and hosting the website does come with ongoing costs. If you’d like to support and help keep the community alive, donations are always welcome and go directly into sustaining the platform.

Stepping Away from Rust

Rust has been a big part of our community, and we’ve enjoyed every chaotic moment it brought. The survival, the raids, the rivalries — it all created lasting memories. But the reality is that running a dedicated Rust server isn’t sustainable anymore.

Currently, we’re down to just two players actively using the server. As much as we love the game, keeping a server online at that level doesn’t make sense. Hosting a stable Rust server isn’t cheap, despite the common assumption that it’s easy and affordable. The truth is, it costs a lot to keep things running properly, and with activity this low, the return simply isn’t there.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one. By moving away from Rust, we can direct more energy and resources into projects that truly have momentum. Rust will always be part of our history, but it’s time to look forward.

Defendia on the Horizon

That brings us to what comes next. Many of you already know about Defendia, and it’s no exaggeration to say this project has become the heart of our work. It’s more than just a release — it’s something we’ve been shaping with the community in mind from the very beginning.

Defendia is designed to offer the kind of survival and challenge that fits perfectly with what our community has always loved. Where Rust gave us moments of chaos, Defendia builds on that energy in a fresh way, focusing on cooperative survival, strategy, and resilience in a world shaped by constant threat.

We’ve been hard at work polishing mechanics, testing features, and building the foundation for what we believe will be one of our most exciting releases yet. Development hasn’t always been easy, but every step has been worth it to create something we know you’ll enjoy.

The best part? You won’t have to wait long. Next week, we’ll be revealing more details about what’s coming, including what players can expect at launch and how the game will grow beyond its first release.

Looking Ahead

To sum it up: the website stays, Rust steps aside, and Defendia steps forward. The future of our community isn’t about stretching resources too thin or chasing what doesn’t work. It’s about focusing on what matters most — giving our players, supporters, and friends something worth investing time in.

Defendia is that future, and we’re excited to share it with you soon.
