A new leak has given fans their first detailed look at Mirak Valley, the largest map confirmed for Battlefield 6 at launch. While EA has shared plenty of official details about its upcoming shooter, new footage from the latest Battlefield Labs playtest has revealed more than the publisher likely intended.
The leak comes shortly after the game’s open beta, which wrapped up earlier this month. EA relaunched Battlefield Labs on August 29 to fine-tune gameplay ahead of the full release in October. Unsurprisingly, information began surfacing almost immediately after playtesters gained access.
Mirak Valley: Battlefield 6’s Largest Map at Launch
Leaked gameplay videos show that Mirak Valley will be the biggest playable map when Battlefield 6 launches on October 10. Compared to the beta’s smaller arenas, the new location offers:
- Expansive terrain filled with both open fields and clustered buildings
- Vehicle-heavy gameplay, allowing for tanks, helicopters, and ground transports
- A slower-paced, more tactical feel than the beta’s tighter maps
According to earlier reports, Mirak Valley is nearly seven times larger than Siege of Cairo, the featured map from the beta. This scale directly addresses player feedback that the open beta’s maps felt too cramped for the game’s 64-player matches.
Variety Beyond the Beta
While Battlefield 6 has scaled back from the 128-player lobbies of Battlefield 2042, fans can expect much more variety at launch. Mirak Valley’s sheer size promises matches that play out differently than the fast, chaotic rounds on the beta maps.
One noticeable absence from the leaked footage is the dynamic weather system that fans had speculated about. No storms or environmental changes appeared in the videos, though these elements may still be added before launch.
Release Approaches
With the full release just weeks away, players won’t have to wait long to see how Mirak Valley and other maps play in the final build. EA’s October launch window will confirm whether the leaks align with the finished product or if more surprises are still being held back.
