InZOI Unveils Island Getaway DLC at Gamescom 2025

InZOI Expands with a Tropical Adventure

Krafton has revealed a brand-new trailer for InZOI’s upcoming Island Getaway DLC during Gamescom 2025. The life simulation title, often compared to The Sims, was featured at Opening Night Live alongside other major surprises and highly anticipated releases.

Since its early access launch in March 2025, InZOI has steadily grown through updates that refine gameplay and expand customization. The Island Getaway DLC marks the game’s first major content expansion, introducing players to new environments, mechanics, and activities.

A First Look at Cahaya

The trailer showcased Cahaya, a tropical destination inspired by the islands of Southeast Asia. Blending scenic landscapes with a city designed for leisure, Cahaya offers both a main island and a resort island for players to explore. Activities shown include swimming, boating, fishing, and snorkeling, along with new gameplay systems such as farming, mining, and gem crafting.

The trailer also added a twist of humor, opening with a character riding a motorcycle, fishing, and taking photos—only for it to be revealed as a dream sequence ending in a prison cell.

The DLC is set to launch on August 20, 2025, and will be available for free to all players.

New Features and Customization

Alongside the new island map, the update will add a variety of vehicles, including electric scooters and motorcycles. Players will also gain access to tropical-themed clothing and hairstyles, expanding the already extensive character customization options.

Gameplay depth will be enhanced with fresh interactions, including thought bubbles, cooperative actions, and random encounters, giving Zois richer ways to connect and evolve their stories.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Beyond content additions, Krafton confirmed several system upgrades. These include UI and UX enhancements for smoother navigation, over 90 new in-game songs, and the first phase of gamepad support for players who prefer a controller-based experience.

With Island Getaway, InZOI looks set to deliver its most ambitious update yet, offering players fresh ways to build, play, and immerse themselves in the growing life-sim world.
