The August 2025 GO Pass has officially landed in Pokémon GO, and this month’s biggest prize is none other than the legendary Fire-type bird, Moltres. Following Zapdos from July, Moltres takes the spotlight as the featured reward for dedicated Trainers who reach Rank 100 in the new season’s pass.
What Is the GO Pass?
The GO Pass functions similarly to a battle pass system, offering a tiered progression track filled with rewards such as Stardust, XP, Poke Balls, and exclusive Pokémon encounters. Players earn GO Points by completing in-game tasks, unlocking new tiers and bonuses with each rank. While the standard GO Pass is free, GO Pass Deluxe offers premium items and faster progression for a fee.
GO Pass August 2025 Dates
- Start: Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time
- End: Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time
Players will automatically receive the free GO Pass: August on August 3 and can begin earning GO Points to rank up and unlock rewards.
A bonus event on August 30 and 31 will remove the daily GO Point limit, giving Trainers a full weekend to accelerate their rank.

The Lucky Trinket is back for Deluxe pass holders. This single-use item allows you to designate a friend as a Lucky Friend, even if you haven’t reached Best Friends status. Both players will receive Lucky Pokémon on their next trade — but use it wisely, as the Trinket expires on September 7, 2025.
