Overwatch Freebies Return With Twitch Loot Boxes and PS Plus Orisa Bundle

Overwatch’s refreshed seasonal direction is already pulling in strong player attention, and alongside the renewed momentum comes a new wave of free rewards. Players can now unlock Loot Boxes through Twitch viewing and claim a PlayStation Plus cosmetic bundle centered on Orisa, offering multiple ways to collect cosmetics without spending extra currency.

Strong Start for the Relaunch Season

The game’s soft relaunch introduced a story-driven seasonal structure beginning with Reign of Talon, alongside promises of new heroes and broader gameplay updates. Early engagement has been significant, with concurrent player activity surging shortly after Season 1 launched on February 10.

To maintain that momentum, Blizzard has paired the seasonal rollout with limited-time reward campaigns aimed at both returning veterans and new players.

Twitch Drops Offer Ten Free Loot Boxes

Players who watch Overwatch streams on Twitch can earn up to ten Loot Boxes by accumulating viewing time before March 8 at 11:58 PM PT, provided their Battle.net and Twitch accounts are linked.

Rewards unlock gradually as watch time increases, beginning at just 30 minutes viewed and continuing through multiple milestones. The final two milestones at 10 hours and 13 hours each grant a Legendary Loot Box, bringing the total to eight Common and two Legendary boxes.

All earned rewards must be claimed from the Twitch Drops inventory before they appear in-game. The Season 1 Conquest reward pool also refreshes possible contents, allowing cosmetics from Seasons 15 through 20 to drop from these boxes.

PlayStation Plus Bundle Grants Classic Orisa Skin

Separate from Twitch rewards, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim a free in-game bundle that includes the Null Sector Orisa Legendary skin and five Battle Pass Tier Skips. The bundle is delivered automatically once PlayStation Plus is linked to Battle.net.

While the offer currently has no confirmed expiration date, similar past promotions typically remained available for only a few months. An earlier promotional image mistakenly listed 20 Tier Skips, but the final corrected reward total is five.

The Null Sector Orisa cosmetic originally debuted during the 2017 Archives event and normally costs 1,500 Credits, making this promotion a straightforward way for eligible players to unlock a legacy Legendary skin at no cost.

Free Rewards Support the Season’s Momentum

Between Twitch Drops and subscription bonuses, Season 1’s launch window is packed with accessible cosmetics designed to encourage engagement across platforms. Whether through passive stream watching or PlayStation membership perks, players have multiple low-effort paths to expand their cosmetic collections while the new seasonal structure gains traction.

If early participation trends continue, similar reward campaigns may remain a core part of Overwatch’s evolving live-service strategy.
