Nintendo has shared a major update on the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, revealing a revised release date alongside the first full trailer showcasing new characters, locations, and story direction.
Following its reveal during the January 25 Nintendo Direct, the film is now firmly entering its final production phase.
Release Date Moved Forward
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is now scheduled to release on April 1 in the United States and several major markets.
This moves the film forward from the previously expected April 3 launch, placing its theatrical debut roughly two months after its official reveal.

The newly released trailer offers the first clear look at several fan-favorite characters and environments inspired by both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey.

The movie blends visual and thematic elements from Super Mario Galaxy with the world design and energy of Super Mario Odyssey, suggesting a large-scale adventure that moves across multiple kingdoms.

Illumination has confirmed that animation is fully completed.
