Black Ops 7 Reveals Full Launch Maps and Modes Ahead of Release

Fall 2025 has turned into a major battleground for FPS fans. With Battlefield 6 launching earlier this month and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 arriving in less than two weeks, the genre is seeing one of its busiest seasons in years. As the release date approaches, Activision has now unveiled the complete lineup of multiplayer maps and modes that will be available on day one.

Although there’s no early-access period this time, players already got a first taste through the October open beta. Now, Activision has provided a clear breakdown of what to expect in the full launch version of Black Ops 7 — and there’s a significant amount of content coming right from the start.

A Packed Multiplayer Launch

On November 14, Activision revealed all maps and modes arriving before Season One begins. Black Ops 7 will launch with 16 standard 6v6 maps, alongside two large-scale 20v20 battlegrounds. Even more content is arriving shortly after launch, with Nuketown 2025 joining the rotation on November 20, bringing the pre-season total up to 19 maps.

Operators and Pre-Season Progression

Players will also have access to 16 operators at launch, in addition to the eight characters tied to Zombies. Many operators will unlock automatically, while others require progression or come as exclusive perks for Vault Edition owners.

With an extensive lineup of launch maps, varied game modes, and a deep operator roster, Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be one of the most content-rich entries in the franchise. Analysts are already predicting strong sales — potentially even surpassing Battlefield 6 — and the pre-season reveal suggests Activision is aiming for a powerful launch window.

If the multiplayer experience delivers on its promise, Black Ops 7 could become one of the standout FPS titles of 2025.
