Embark Studios’ newly launched co-op shooter, ARC Raiders, is facing significant server instability just days after its release. Players across multiple regions are reporting being stuck in loading queues, dropped from active matches, and unable to use essential features such as voice chat and the party system.
Server Outages and Player Reports
The first signs of trouble appeared around 10:00 a.m. PST, when users began encountering long queue times and random disconnections during gameplay. Some reported being placed into parties despite having crossplay disabled or queueing solo, while others found themselves unable to reconnect after being kicked from ongoing sessions.
Embark’s Community Manager addressed the issue in the official ARC Raiders Discord, confirming that the development team is actively investigating the cause and working on a resolution. However, no estimated timeline for recovery has been provided at this time.
Strong Launch Marred by Early Instability
Despite the setbacks, ARC Raiders continues to show impressive engagement numbers. The game has surpassed 300,000 concurrent players on Steam, ranking as the fourth most-played title on the platform behind Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Battlefield 6.
The game’s successful pre-launch server test and smooth debut on October 30 set high expectations for stability, making the sudden outage a surprise for many players who praised Embark for its initial performance.
No Word Yet on Cause or Compensation
At this point, it remains unclear whether the outages are due to overwhelming player load or other backend issues. Embark has not mentioned any form of player compensation or event extensions for lost progress during the downtime.
For now, players are advised to monitor official ARC Raiders Discord channels for real-time updates and prepare by reviewing in-game strategies, map layouts, and loadout optimizations while waiting for servers to stabilize.
