Pokémon GO’s Enchanted Hollow Event Adds Tarountula and Spidops This November

Niantic has officially revealed Pokémon GO’s next major event, the Enchanted Hollow, which introduces Tarountula and Spidops to the game for the first time. The event begins on November 4 at 10 a.m. and runs until November 9 at 8 p.m. local time, giving Trainers nearly a week to take part in its forest-themed festivities.

Event Overview

Following the conclusion of Pokémon GO’s Halloween celebration on November 2, the Enchanted Hollow event will take players deep into a mystical woodland setting filled with themed décor and bug-type Pokémon. Event-themed PokeStops will appear with “patches of forestry,” offering 2× XP for spins and double lure durations, creating more opportunities to attract rare Pokémon.

Wild Encounters and Lure Bonuses

Players can encounter Paras, Stantler, Nickit, and the debuting Tarountula in the wild. Those using Mossy Lure Modules will see increased spawns of Paras, Stantler, Cottonee, Petilil, Karrablast, Shelmet, and Tarountula. All Pokémon listed can appear as Shiny, except Tarountula.

Raid Battles and Field Research

As expected, raids will play a key role in the Enchanted Hollow event:

  • One-Star Raids: Paras, Stantler, Tarountula
  • Three-Star Raids: Leavanny, Scolipede, Drampa

Paras, Stantler, and Drampa have a Shiny chance during raids. Field Research tasks will reward encounters with Paras, Stantler, Cottonee, Petilil, Karrablast, Shelmet, and occasionally Drampa, all with potential Shiny variants.

Paid Research and Collection Challenges

Players can opt for the Paid Timed Research ticket priced at $1.99 USD, which grants a Mossy Lure Module, two Incense, three Lucky Eggs, and encounters with Paras, Stantler, Drampa, and Tarountula. Completing the Event Collection Challenges will yield extra XP and a guaranteed Tarountula encounter.

A Growing Adventure

The Enchanted Hollow event arrives shortly after Pokémon GO’s level cap increase, which now allows Trainers to reach level 80. This adjustment, while met with mixed reactions, ensures that the game continues to offer long-term goals alongside seasonal events like Enchanted Hollow.

With Tarountula and Spidops making their debut, Pokémon GO players have yet another reason to explore, catch, and complete their collections as the November event unfolds.
