Once finished, Delaila will reward you with the recipe for the Barn Bell, a special item that teleports you directly to your personal Ranch.
At your Ranch, you’ll find several key features:

Raising Animals and Progression
Every animal species in Palia begins as a baby and grows through several stages until reaching retirement age. Proper care and management are essential to keep your animals healthy and productive.
Animal Needs
- Happiness:
Increases when you feed and pet your animals. High Happiness boosts resource production rates. - Focus:
Indicates how well-fed your animals are. If Focus drops too low, production slows down significantly.
Production Factors
Item production depends on:
- Species type
- Happiness and Focus levels
- The number of animals of the same species (overcrowding reduces productivity)
Pen Organization
Your Ranch features multiple pens for organizing animals. Each pen can hold up to 10 animals, and you can manage assignments using the permissions menu found on the table with the animal roster.
Animals can be assigned to:
- Any Pen
- Air Pen
- Water Pen
- Fire Pen
If you’re unsure which pens are which, you can check their locations and types by viewing your Map. Pens fill up based on your prioritization list, ensuring your most important animals are placed first.
Multiplayer Ranching
Ranching in multiplayer mode allows you to invite friends to help care for your animals. Visitors can contribute to your ranch’s upkeep, and both you and your friends benefit from shared experience gains.
How to Visit a Friend’s Ranch
- Travel to your friend’s Housing Plot.
- Ring their Barn Bell to teleport to their Ranch.
Once inside, visitors can:
- Pet animals to boost Happiness
- Feed animals to maintain Focus
- Gather resources like milk, eggs, or wool
All collected items automatically go to the owner’s inventory, but both players receive shared experience for their efforts.
Just like housing plots, the Ranch has its own Plot Settings, where the owner can manage:
- Security mode
- Player permissions (add, edit, or remove editors)
