Niantic has officially revealed the second part of its annual Halloween event for Pokémon GO, adding even more themed encounters, costumed Pokémon, and special rewards later this month. As a live-service game, Pokémon GO continues its tradition of embracing real-world holidays, and Halloween remains one of the biggest annual celebrations for players worldwide.
The Halloween Event Returns With More Costumed Pokémon
The second part of Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2025 event kicks off on Monday, October 27, and runs through November 2. This year’s lineup introduces two new costumed Pokémon: Teddiursa wearing a witch hat and Noibat with a themed headband. As in previous events, their evolved forms will retain these festive costumes, adding collectible flair for dedicated trainers.
Players can also encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon in the wild, in raids, and through Field Research tasks, making it one of the richest seasonal events of the year.
Event Bonuses and Raids
Throughout the event, players can enjoy a range of event bonuses, including:
- Rare Candy and Rare Candy XL rewards from catching costumed Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- New Field Research Tasks, offering themed rewards and spooky encounters.
- Major Milestones and exclusive Halloween GO Pass bonuses for those participating in the premium event track.
The event’s Raids will feature Halloween-dressed Pokémon such as:
- Tricks & Treats Gengar
- Halloween Mischief Drifblim
- Pikachu and Piplup in themed outfits
Meanwhile, Shadow Raids will introduce Yamask and Phantump, adding a Ghost-type edge to the festivities.
A Spooky Atmosphere and New Avatar Items
As part of the event’s immersive experience, a remixed version of the Lavender Town theme will play nightly, continuing the nostalgic Halloween tradition from past years. Players can also expect decorated PokéStops, Gyms, and encounter stages, transforming the in-game world into a haunted landscape.
The in-game store will offer new avatar items like the Polteageist Hat and exclusive event-themed stickers, ensuring that both trainers and their Pokémon can dress for the occasion.
A Tradition That Keeps Evolving
Every October, Pokémon GO celebrates Halloween with creative costumes and darkly themed activities. From last year’s top-hat Rowlet and witch-hat Froakie to this year’s costumed Teddiursa and Noibat, Niantic continues to build on fan-favorite traditions while keeping the spirit of the holiday alive in its ever-expanding world.
As the Halloween 2025 event approaches, trainers can prepare for another week filled with candy, costumes, and creepy-cute Pokémon.
