Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trainers are about to face their next high-level challenge as Seven-Star Tera Raids make their long-awaited return. Beginning on October 2, 2025, the exclusive Paradox Pokémon Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant will headline new raid events. These will be the first Seven-Star raids since Kommo-O the Unrivaled appeared back in July, marking over three months without a new addition to the event lineup.
Version Exclusivity and Raid Details
The two featured Paradox Pokémon are tied to their respective versions:
- Roaring Moon — Exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, this Past Paradox form of Salamence will feature a Dragon Tera Type. Known for its high physical attack and speed, it poses a formidable threat to unprepared trainers.
- Iron Valiant — Exclusive to Pokémon Violet, this futuristic hybrid of Gallade and Gardevoir will arrive as a Fairy Tera Type, leveraging a strong mix of physical and special attacks.
The event will run from Thursday, October 2 at 8:00 PM Eastern until Sunday, October 12 at 7:59 PM Eastern. Defeating either raid boss will grant players the Mightiest Mark, signifying their victory over a Seven-Star challenge.
Strategy Considerations
Although both Dragon and Fairy types have well-known weaknesses, players should not expect easy battles. Roaring Moon, vulnerable to Fairy and Ice, may counter with moves such as Iron Head and Earthquake. Iron Valiant, meanwhile, could use its versatility to cover weaknesses and pressure teams with both physical and special attacks. Trainers will need to plan carefully and prepare counters to avoid being caught off guard.
Additional Raids Running Alongside
Alongside the headline Seven-Star raids, trainers can also take part in Five-Star Tera Raids featuring other version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon, including Great Tusk and Iron Treads.
Following the recent Shiny Treasures of Ruin event and the controversial Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon distributions, October is shaping up to be a packed month for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players. With high-level raids and version-exclusive challenges, trainers will have no shortage of battles to prepare for.
