Black Ops 6 Zombies Guide: How to obtain the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon on Reckoning

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has just arrived, introducing the new epic world map to play on called Reckoning, which is the final Zombies map of the game. This bio-organic-themed battleground features its own exclusive Wonder Weapon — the Gorgofex, a powerful pistol with a twisted design and vital role in the map’s main quest.

This guide will walk you step-by-step through unlocking the Gorgofex, including puzzle solutions, boss encounters, and alternative methods of obtaining it.

Step 1 – Turn On the Power

Before starting the Wonder Weapon quest, you must activate the map’s power. The game provides orange objective markers that guide you to the Power Room and the Pack-a-Punch machine. Complete this step before proceeding.

Step 2 – Solve the Periodic Table Puzzle

Once the power is on, you’ll need to unlock a new lab by completing the Periodic Table puzzle.

1. Find the First Monitor
   • From the spawn area, take the right elevator to reach the T1 Mutant Research Lab.
   • Near the Deadshot Daiquiri perk machine, locate a computer monitor with static.
   • Wait until a word flashes on the screen and note the first letter.
2. Find the Second Monitor
   • Head to the west side of the T1 Mutant Research Test Area — the smaller room with the large cryo tube containing Richtofen’s family.
   • Locate another static-filled monitor and note the first letter of the word shown.
3. Match the Letters to an Element
   • In the same room as the second monitor, examine the Periodic Table of Elements.
   • Match your two letters to the corresponding element and note its atomic number.
   • Example: “abhorrent” (A) and “traitor” (T) = AT (Astatine), atomic number 85.
4. Unlock the Upstairs Lab
   • Go upstairs in the T1 Mutant Research Test Area.
   • Use the keypad to enter the number you found. If it’s two digits, add a leading zero (e.g., 085).
   • Inside, you’ll find a metal case containing a plant-like cyst.

Step 3 – Feed the Cyst

You now need to charge the cyst by absorbing zombie essences.

• Kill zombies and vermin in front of the case until a gold orb appears and you hear an audio cue.
• Repeat this six times to fully charge the cyst.
• Once complete, interact with the case to collect the upgraded cyst.

Tip: Lure zombies in small groups or have a teammate train them before bringing them to the case.

Step 4 – Charge the Cyst with Mushrooms

With the cyst in hand:

1. Take the left elevator from spawn to reach the T1 Quantum Computing Core.
2. Parachute down to the area with glowing yellow mushrooms.
3. Approach a mushroom, and your character will automatically raise the cyst to absorb its energy.
4. Charge the cyst with three mushrooms in total.

Tip: Do this while only one zombie remains, or have a teammate hold them off.

Step 5 – Initiate the Power Surge

This final quest step triggers a mini-boss fight, so prepare with:

• At least Pack-a-Punch Level 1 weapons.
• Key perks: Juggernog, Quick Revive, Double Tap.

Then:

1. Head to the Dark Entity Containment area.
2. Find a computer terminal with green text reading “Initiate Power Surge” and interact with it.
3. Quickly locate the next terminal with the same message and activate it.
4. Repeat this four times in sequence.

If you’re too slow, the text will turn yellow, and you’ll need to restart.

Step 6 – Defeat Uberklaus and Claim the Gorgofex

1. After the surges, Uberklaus will spawn — a Klaus robot in a mech suit.
2. Do not kill him immediately. Instead, shoot the purple glowing armor on his shoulders.
3. Lead him to the electrified floor rectangle to stun him and trigger phase two.

Phase Two:

• Uberklaus becomes possessed and more aggressive.
• Flying Klaus bots will spawn and attempt to explode near you. Take them out from a distance.

Final Phase:

• Klaus leaves the mech suit and continues attacking with more flying bots.
• Defeat him to spawn a purple orb containing the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon.

• The base Gorgofex cannot be Pack-a-Punched.
• You’ll need it for the main story quest, where it can be upgraded and then Pack-a-Punched.
• Only one Gorgofex is awarded per quest completion.

Other Ways to Get the Gorgofex

If you’re lucky, you can skip the quest by:

• Pulling it from the Mystery Box.
• Using the Wonderbar Gobble Gum for a guaranteed Wonder Weapon on your next box hit (though this could be a Ray Gun Mark II instead).

For teammates to get their own Gorgofex, they’ll need to complete the quest themselves or try their luck with these methods.
