In an unexpected turn of events, a popular content creator known for her presence on YouTube and OnlyFans has turned down a role in an upcoming short film set to premiere on Prime Video, citing discomfort with the nature of the part offered.
The creator, who has built a strong following through lifestyle vlogs, reaction videos, and adult content, revealed in a candid post on social media that she was approached by the film’s production team earlier this month. While initially flattered by the offer, she said things quickly took a strange turn when she was briefed on the role.
“At first I thought it was a joke,” she wrote. “I’m used to getting offers, but this one was way out there. The character description was so bizarre, it didn’t make any sense why they’d want me to play it.”
Although the exact nature of the role remains confidential, sources close to the production say the short film falls under the “experimental drama” genre, blending abstract storytelling with dark comedic undertones. The director, known for avant-garde work, has not commented publicly on the rejection but is reportedly moving forward with recasting.
Fans of the creator applauded her decision to pass on the project, with many expressing concern over the type of content she was asked to participate in.
“It’s one thing to branch out,” one fan commented, “but if it feels wrong or exploitative, it’s totally okay to walk away.”
The creator emphasized that while she’s open to acting in the future, it has to be on terms that align with her values and how she wants to present herself beyond adult platforms.
“I’m not ashamed of what I do, but I also don’t want to be the ‘default’ pick for something just because of it. I’ve worked hard to build a brand, not just a persona.”
The short film is still expected to release later this year on Prime Video, but the unexpected rejection has sparked wider conversations about how content creators are perceived by mainstream media—and whether they’re being typecast based on platform stereotypes.
