Pokémon GO players worldwide are being called to action once more as Niantic launches a brand-new Global Challenge, marking one of the final activities of the Might and Mastery season. Titled “Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers,” this latest challenge will run from Tuesday, May 20 at 12:00 AM PT to Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 PM PT, and it’s all about community spirit and connection.
Challenge Details:
- Objective: Send gifts to other trainers
- Duration: May 20 (12:00 AM PT) – May 22 (12:00 PM PT)
- Goal: Complete the global gift-sending objective
- Reward: Ability to send free Special Research tickets for the upcoming May 2025 Community Day Classic featuring Machop
To assist trainers in achieving this goal, Niantic has temporarily increased the daily gift-sending limit from 20 to 50 gifts per day.
Special Research Ticket Distribution Details
If the community successfully completes the challenge, players will be able to gift up to 20 Special Research tickets per day between Friday, May 23 at 10:00 AM and Saturday, May 24 at 5:00 PM local time. To send a ticket, you must be at least Great Friends with the recipient.
Each Special Research ticket includes:
- 1x Premium Battle Pass
- 1x Rare Candy XL
- Encounters with Machop, including three with a Seasonal Special Background
Community Day Classic: Machop
The Community Day Classic event featuring Machop will take place on Saturday, May 24, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. During this limited-time event, expect to see Machop appearing more frequently in the wild. Trainers who evolve Machop into Machoke and then into Machamp during the event will obtain a Machamp that knows the Charged Attack Payback, a valuable move in both PvP and PvE scenarios.
Event Bonuses:
- 3× Stardust from catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Increased shiny chance for Machop
