Pokémon GO’s evolving reward system continues with the announcement of the May GO Pass, offering free and premium bonuses—plus a chance to encounter the Legendary Yveltal.
Niantic has officially unveiled the May edition of the GO Pass, a feature that rewards players for completing everyday activities in Pokémon GO. This system builds on the momentum started by April’s GO Pass and February’s GO Tour: Unova, offering players more reasons to stay active in-game while introducing fresh monetization options.
The May GO Pass will be available from Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will once again offer two versions: a free track for players in select regions, and a GO Pass Deluxe purchasable via the Pokémon GO Web Store.
Key Details
- Availability: May 6 – June 3, 2025
- Claim Deadline: Rewards must be collected by Thursday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. local time
- Access: Free for select regions; GO Pass Deluxe available for purchase
How It Works
To progress, trainers must complete tasks to earn GO Points, which unlock tiered rewards across both free and paid tracks. Unlike the Power-Up Ticket that targets specific gameplay actions, the GO Pass rewards players for nearly any in-game activity.
Free Track Rewards
- Encounter with Yveltal – the Dark/Flying-type Legendary from Kalos
- Stardust
- XP
- Poké Balls and Candy
- More surprise goodies
GO Pass Deluxe Rewards
- All Free Track rewards, plus:
- A Lucky Trinket – previously introduced in GO Tour: Unova, lets you trigger a Lucky Friend status
- Candy XL
- Premium Battle Passes
- Incense, Lucky Egg, Incubator
- Lure Modules
- Additional Pokémon encounters
- Exclusive bonus items
Milestone Bonuses for All Pass Holders
Players can unlock Major Milestone rewards regardless of pass type:
- Tier 1: Double duration for Daily Adventure Incense
- Tier 2: Extra XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs
- Tier 3: Bonus Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs
Final Notes
The GO Pass is currently in a testing phase, so not all players will have access. However, Niantic plans to expand the feature as feedback rolls in. For now, trainers can look forward to stacking up rewards throughout May while also participating in upcoming events like Crown Clash—featuring Kingambit’s debut—and a themed event starring baby Pokémon.
Whether you’re hunting Legendaries or racking up Stardust, the May GO Pass aims to make your adventure even more rewarding.
