Palia Guide: How to Find and Mine Palium Ore

Palium Ore is a vital resource in Palia, required for crafting Exquisite-tier tools and earning significant gold. Following the latest update, Palium no longer spawns in Bahari Bay and is now found exclusively in the Elderwood. This guide explains where to find it, how to mine it, and how to make the most of it.

Where to Find Palium Ore

Palium Ore spawns only in the Elderwood and is now considered common in that region. Look for its distinctive blueish-purple nodes scattered throughout the Elderwood terrain. The ore is roughly as abundant there as iron is in Bahari Bay.

In addition to Palium, the Elderwood is also home to Platinum Ore, which is rarer and used for high-end crafting. While mining Palium, keep an eye out for Platinum nodes, which have a bright silvery appearance and stand out against the environment.

How to Mine Palium Ore

Required Tool

  • You must use at least a Fine Pick or better to mine Palium Ore.
  • The Fine Pick recipe becomes available at Mining Level 6 and can be purchased from Hodari.
  • Craft the Fine Pick and equip it before heading to the Elderwood.

Mining Process

  • Approach the Palium node and mine it with your Fine or Exquisite Pick.
  • Nodes come in varying sizes and yield between 1–11 ore depending on size.
  • Clearing nearby Whitestone nodes can help increase Palium and Platinum spawn rates in the area.

Uses for Palium Ore

  • Smelt Palium Ore into Palium Bars at your smelter.
  • Use Palium Bars to craft Exquisite-tier tools, which improve gathering speed and yield.
  • Sell Palium Bars for a high amount of gold to fund upgrades or supplies.
