Schedule I Special Customers Update Adds New NPCs, Businesses, and Cosmetics

Schedule I has received its Special Customers Update, bringing four new customer groups, additional businesses, fresh cosmetics, and several performance improvements. Developer TVGS has also confirmed that two more updates are planned before the end of 2026.

The latest update expands the criminal empire simulator with travelling customers who periodically visit Hyland Point. These visitors arrive with specific preferences and purchase large quantities of their favourite products.

However, the update offers much more than additional customers. Players can also purchase a new laundering business, customize their characters with new clothing, and enjoy several technical improvements.

Four Special Customer Groups Arrive in Schedule I

The biggest addition to the Schedule I Special Customers Update is the introduction of four travelling customer groups.

Each group brings unique characters, behaviours, and purchasing preferences. Unlike regular customers, these visitors periodically arrive in town looking to buy large quantities of specific drug types.

The four groups include:

  • Hippies: Eight customers, including Amethyst Pidley, Bodie Hunt, and Charlie Menson.
  • Party Bus: Nine customers, including Brad Chaddington, Chad Chaddington, and Michelle Delacroix.
  • Businessmen: Six customers, including Bill Short, Grant Gainsworth, and Penny Stockman.
  • Bikers: Eight customers, including Bob Harley, Diesel Rodd, and Vince Knuckles.

These additions introduce 31 new customer characters, giving players more opportunities to expand their operations.

TVGS has also introduced several new NPC behaviours. Special customers can now dance, use laptops, talk on phones, and sit on the ground. Other activities include vomiting, urinating, intimate interactions, and revving motorcycles.

The new behaviours should make Hyland Point feel more active, especially when these travelling groups arrive.

Hyland Medical Becomes a Purchasable Business

Players looking to expand their laundering operations now have another option.

Hyland Medical features a new interior and can be purchased as a business. This provides another location for handling money earned through illegal activities.

Existing laundering businesses have also received significant capacity increases.

BusinessPrevious capacityNew capacity
Post Office$4,000$5,000
Car Wash$6,000$8,000
Taco Ticklers$8,000$12,000

These changes should help players manage larger operations without constantly reaching their laundering limits.

The corporate plaza has also grown slightly, while several NPC schedules now account for the new Hyland Medical interior.

New Clothing, Hairstyles, and Customization Options

Character customization receives a substantial expansion in the Schedule I Special Customers Update.

Players can purchase various clothing items and accessories, including leather jackets, aviator sunglasses, bandanas, and colourful shirts.

New clothing and accessories include:

  • Gold and silver aviator sunglasses
  • Browline and round tinted glasses
  • Beer hat, jet helmet, and panzer helmet
  • Paisley and USA bandanas
  • Blue, red, green, and brown ties
  • Leather jacket
  • Aqua, purple, and yellow tie-dye shirts
  • Dirty tank top and hot shirt
  • Molerats jersey
  • Tube top and mesh top

Three new hairstyles are available: The Businessman, Poofy Wavey, and Long Wavey.

Players can also purchase seven facial hair styles, including a chevron mustache, handlebar mustache, mutton chops, and a full beard.

TVGS has completely rebuilt the character appearance system to support these additions.

The developer explained that the previous system would not adequately support user-created cosmetics. These are planned for a future update.

The new system uses AvatarObjects, allowing individual cosmetic items to contain multiple layers and attachments.

This technical overhaul should make future customization features easier to implement.

New Furniture and Building Options

Players interested in decorating their properties have received several new items.

Black rubber mats are now available at the hardware store in three sizes: 1×1, 2×2, and 4×4.

A Persian rug has also arrived at Bleuball’s Boutique.

While these additions are relatively small, they provide more freedom when designing production facilities, businesses, and personal spaces.

Performance Improvements Target Late-Game Stuttering

Beyond the new content, TVGS has focused heavily on improving performance.

Players operating large businesses with numerous employees may notice smoother gameplay following the update.

Previously, the game repeatedly created and destroyed stored item objects. These objects now use pooling, which should reduce stuttering in demanding late-game saves.

The developer has also optimized how the game generates and saves icons for mixed products.

According to the patch notes, this improvement could save several hundred megabytes of memory in late-game saves.

Additional optimizations include improved NPC ragdoll handling, reduced physics overhead, cleaner NPC code, and better terrain rendering.

The update also reduces memory consumption when undoing graffiti and removes unused terrain textures.

Together, these improvements aim to make larger criminal operations run more smoothly.

Multiplayer and Gameplay Bugs Fixed

The Special Customers Update addresses numerous bugs affecting gameplay, multiplayer, and character customization.

One important fix resolves physics objects becoming desynchronized when thrown during multiplayer sessions.

Players should also experience fewer frame drops when pouring water or additives into pots and grow beds.

Several other issues have received fixes, including:

  • NPC vehicles failing to detect certain obstacles.
  • Hairstyles clipping through hats.
  • Dress shoes clipping through characters’ feet.
  • Skateboard input prompts remaining visible after dismounting.
  • Incorrect teleport destinations when using the stuck button during the prologue.
  • Empty ingredient tabs appearing in the hardware store.
  • Gamepad cursor jitter during multi-dragging.
  • Incorrectly positioned avatar impostors during ragdoll animations.
  • Memory leaks caused by generated icons remaining loaded after returning to the main menu.

TVGS has also adjusted sleeping logic and prevented players from naming newly created mixes after existing items.

These fixes should improve the overall experience, particularly for players who have encountered technical issues during longer sessions.

New Commands and Teleport Locations

The update introduces several additional teleport destinations for players using commands.

These include Southoverpass, Suburbia, Park, Westville, and Casino.

A new queuecustomergroup command has also been added, providing another way to interact with the special customer system.

Two More Schedule I Updates Coming in 2026

TVGS has confirmed that development is continuing beyond the Special Customers Update.

According to Tyler, the studio expanded the update beyond its original scope. Several major technical changes were also necessary to support upcoming features.

The developer revealed that two additional updates are already in development, with both expected to arrive before the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, TVGS has welcomed a new technical artist named Roald.

Roald created nearly all the artwork featured in the latest update and is currently reviewing existing game assets.

The goal is to establish a consistent visual quality throughout Schedule I while improving its appearance and performance.

Once that work is complete, TVGS expects to be in a stronger position to begin its first map expansion.

Although no release date has been announced for the expansion, its mention gives players something else to look forward to.

Schedule I Continues to Grow

The Schedule I Special Customers Update delivers a combination of new content and technical improvements.

Travelling customers introduce fresh business opportunities, while expanded laundering capacities make larger operations easier to manage.

The customization overhaul also establishes the foundation for future user-created cosmetics.

Perhaps most importantly, the performance improvements address problems that can become increasingly noticeable as players build larger operations.

With two more updates scheduled for 2026 and the first map expansion on the horizon, TVGS clearly has more planned for Schedule I.

For players who have already built their criminal empires, the latest update provides several new reasons to return to Hyland Point.
