PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have a busy second half of September ahead of them. Sony is rolling out several new games throughout the month instead of dropping the entire lineup on a single day.
The September additions include RuneScape: Dragonwilds, WWE 2K26, Ball X Pit, Slitterhead, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Sniper Elite: Resistance.
PS Plus Premium subscribers will also receive two additional classics on September 15: Mega Man X Command Mission and Metro Redux.
PS Plus Extra Games for September 2026
The first wave arrives on September 15, led by two major PS5 additions.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds – September 15
RuneScape: Dragonwilds joins PS Plus Extra for PS5 on September 15.
The survival-focused RuneScape spin-off takes the franchise in a different direction from the traditional MMORPG formula. Players explore a dangerous fantasy world while gathering resources, crafting equipment, building settlements, fighting enemies, and attempting to survive the wilderness.
Its arrival through PS Plus Extra gives subscribers an easy opportunity to jump into the game without purchasing it separately.
WWE 2K26 – September 15
Wrestling fans are also getting WWE 2K26 on PS5 on September 15.
The latest entry in the WWE 2K series joins the Extra catalog alongside Dragonwilds, making the first September wave considerably larger for subscribers interested in major releases.
Ball X Pit and Slitterhead Arrive September 22
The second wave follows one week later.
On September 22, PS5 subscribers can download Ball X Pit and Slitterhead through PlayStation Plus Extra.
Slitterhead offers a considerably darker experience, combining action and horror elements with a strange supernatural setting. Ball X Pit, meanwhile, gives the September lineup another very different style of game.
Having both arrive on the same day continues Sony’s staggered approach to the month’s additions.
Three More Games Arrive September 29
September ends with another three additions.
On September 29, PS Plus Extra subscribers will receive Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Sniper Elite: Resistance.
All three will be available across PS4 and PS5.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound brings the legendary action franchise back to its side-scrolling roots, while Dungeons of Hinterberg combines dungeon exploration, combat, puzzles, and social elements.
Sniper Elite: Resistance rounds out the September lineup with another dose of long-range stealth and tactical combat.

PS Plus Premium Gets Two Additional Games
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers have another two games arriving on September 15.
- Mega Man X Command Mission – PS4/PS5 – September 15
- Metro Redux – PS4 – September 15
Mega Man X Command Mission is particularly interesting for longtime Mega Man fans. Originally released during the PlayStation 2 era, the game moved Mega Man X away from the franchise’s usual action-platforming formula and into a turn-based RPG.
Metro Redux brings another established franchise into the Premium catalog, giving subscribers access to the remastered Metro collection on PS4.
September Is Packed for PS Plus Extra Subscribers
Instead of concentrating everything around one catalog update, September’s additions are spread across September 15, September 22, and September 29.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds and WWE 2K26 headline the first wave, while Ball X Pit and Slitterhead follow one week later. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Sniper Elite: Resistance then close out the month.
With nine games across Extra and Premium, September 2026 gives PlayStation Plus subscribers plenty to choose from across RPGs, wrestling, horror, action, stealth, and survival.
