Amazon Prime Gaming has revealed its latest batch of free PC games for August 2026. This month, Prime subscribers can claim nine games at no additional cost, with five titles already available.
The August lineup covers several genres, ranging from psychological horror and card-based roguelikes to simulation games and action RPGs. Amazon is also spreading the games across several platforms, including GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Amazon Games App.
Five Prime Gaming Games Are Available Now
Prime Gaming subscribers do not have to wait until later in August to start building their libraries. Five of the nine announced games are already available to claim.

Both Right and Down and Hiveswap Friendsim are being distributed as GOG codes. Meanwhile, Airship: Kingdoms Adrift and Steelrising can be claimed through the Epic Games Store.
The selection already offers plenty of variety. Steelrising delivers an action-focused experience, while Pyramids and Aliens: Escape Room is aimed at players who enjoy solving puzzles.
More Free Games Arrive on August 20
The next wave of Prime Gaming titles will become available on August 20. Two additional games will join the promotion on that date.

Spray Paint Simulator takes the lineup in a considerably different direction. Rather than fighting enemies or exploring a fantasy world, players can tackle painting jobs and gradually transform different environments.

Amazon will finish the month’s announced lineup with another two games on August 27.

This means Prime Gaming subscribers will have new titles to claim throughout most of August rather than receiving the entire selection at once.
Hiveswap Friendsim Offers Something Different
One of the more unusual games included this month is Hiveswap Friendsim. Originally released in 2018, the title is a psychological-horror visual novel developed by What Pumpkin Games.
Its inclusion gives visual novel fans something to check out alongside the more traditional action and simulation games featured in August’s lineup.
Prime members can claim the game through GOG.
Right and Down Keeps Things Simple
Right and Down also stands out because of its deliberately minimalist gameplay.
The roguelike card game revolves around an extremely simple control system. As its name suggests, players primarily interact with the game by moving either right or down.
However, the limited controls do not necessarily make the experience easy. Players still need to consider their route, equipment, enemies, and other decisions as they progress.
It is another GOG title included with Prime Gaming this month.

A Varied August for Prime Gaming Subscribers
August’s Prime Gaming lineup does not focus on a single genre. Instead, Amazon has assembled a mixture of indie experiments, puzzle games, simulation titles, visual novels, and larger action-focused releases.
The staggered release schedule also gives subscribers several dates to watch. Five games can already be claimed, while the remaining titles will become available across August 20 and August 27.
As usual, players will need an active Amazon Prime membership to claim the games. The required storefront also differs between titles, so subscribers should check where each game needs to be redeemed before claiming it.
