Ubisoft has launched a new program that rewards eligible Xbox players with free PC copies of some of its biggest games. If you already own certain Ubisoft titles digitally on Xbox, you won’t need to buy them again to play on PC.
The offer includes 13 games and rolls out automatically through Ubisoft Connect. While the program resembles Xbox Play Anywhere, there are a few important differences players should keep in mind.
Which Ubisoft Games Are Free on PC?
Players who own the digital Xbox version of any of the following games will receive the PC version at no extra cost:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs Legion
Ubisoft has started rolling out the free PC copies to existing owners. The process will continue until August 4, so not everyone will receive access on the same day.
Anyone who buys one of these games digitally on Xbox in the future will also receive the PC version automatically through Ubisoft Connect.
How the Ubisoft Xbox Program Works
The new program only applies to digital Xbox purchases. If you own one of the games on disc, you will not qualify for a free PC copy.
The promotion also works in one direction only. Buying the game on Xbox unlocks the PC version, but purchasing it on PC does not unlock the Xbox version.
Players should also know that premium currency and other consumable purchases stay on their original platform. Supported downloadable content and special editions can carry over, while games with cross-progression let players continue their save across Xbox and PC.
More Ubisoft Games Come to the Xbox PC App
The free game offer arrives alongside a broader partnership between Ubisoft and Xbox.
Ubisoft has expanded support for the Xbox PC app by adding more editions, expansions, and downloadable content for several of its biggest franchises. The company continues to strengthen its PC ecosystem while making it easier for Xbox players to access their libraries across multiple devices.
Players who qualify for the promotion should update Ubisoft Connect and check their library over the coming days as the rollout continues.
A Welcome Bonus for Multi-Platform Players
This new Ubisoft initiative does not replace Xbox Play Anywhere, but it does make switching between Xbox and PC much easier for fans of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises.
If you already own one of the supported games digitally on Xbox, you could soon find a free PC version waiting in your Ubisoft Connect library.
