Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Not Receive Early Access Launch, Activision Confirms

With just under two weeks until Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches worldwide, Activision has officially confirmed that the game will not receive any form of early access — debunking recent insider reports that suggested otherwise.

No Early Access Despite Insider Claims

Speculation began last week when backend data on the PlayStation Network hinted that both the Campaign and Zombies modes could become available as early as November 10, four days before the official release.
The rumor gained traction after a reliable leaker known as PlayStation Game Size claimed that internal PlayStation data listed an early release time for the two modes. Another insider, TheGhostOfHope, made similar claims in October.

However, Activision has now clarified that these rumors are incorrect. Speaking to CharlieIntel, a company representative confirmed that there will be no early access period, and the official launch date remains Friday, November 14, across all platforms — including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Fans Disappointed Over Canceled Bonus Content

This confirmation adds to a growing list of recent disappointments among the Call of Duty community. Earlier this week, Activision quietly removed a pre-order bonus for Black Ops 7 — the Reznov Challenge Pack — which is now only usable in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Many fans were hoping for an early start to the campaign or Zombies mode, but with just days left until release, attention has now turned toward what’s next post-launch.

Nuketown and More Returning After Launch

While the lack of early access may come as a letdown, there’s still plenty to look forward to once the game is out. Developer Treyarch Studios has confirmed that the iconic Nuketown map will return to Black Ops 7 on November 20, less than a week after release.

Additionally, several remastered classics — including Standoff and Meltdown — are expected to arrive during Season 1, giving players a mix of nostalgia and fresh content shortly after launch.

With the official release date set in stone, fans can finally prepare to dive into Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s full experience when it drops on November 14.
