Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Players facing Bizarre Mystery Box Bug

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players have recently stumbled upon a confusing bug while playing the Zombies mode. This incident occurred after players purchased a Mystery Box in the game. Over the past few weeks, fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have been treated to a slew of new content, and there’s also been a buzz around the upcoming release of Black Ops 6 in 2024.

On June 26, the Season 4 Reloaded update was launched, introducing a vast array of new features to both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. This update includes new weapons, aftermarket parts, maps, and game modes. Among the standout additions is the Unstable Rift feature, which offers wave-based combat, allowing players to earn schematics and reset cooldowns on insured weapons. Although the update addressed many existing bugs, new glitches seem to pop up, leading to some unexpected and amusing moments in the game.

One such moment was shared by Reddit user iLegacy96, who posted about a strange bug they encountered. In the video they shared, the player opens a Mystery Box, expecting to receive a weapon. Instead, after the usual rotation of weapons, the box emits a golden light but fails to produce any item. In an attempt to investigate further, they purchased another Mystery Box, hoping their in-game friend might have better luck. Unfortunately, the friend also ended up with nothing but the golden light, which humorously turned green after the player stabbed their friend in the game.

This Reddit post quickly gained traction, receiving numerous upvotes and comments from other Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players. Many commenters joined in the fun, mimicking the incomplete experience of the Mystery Box by leaving unfinished sentences. One of the most popular comments humorously called the player an “airbender,” while another joked that they had finally seen what was inside the briefcase from Pulp Fiction. Despite the humor, the bug was a disappointing experience for the player, as it prevented them from getting the new weapons available in the update.

While bugs like this can provide some comic relief, cheating remains a more significant issue in both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Despite the implementation of strong anti-cheat measures, cheating continues to be a major problem, with players frequently voicing their frustrations. The developers have taken steps to combat this issue, but it remains a significant challenge for the gaming community.
