Pokemon Go Guide – Berries

What is Pokemon Go without food? well, nothing! Luckily, we have some lovely treats for our Pokemon to nibble on! One of the things that you can do with Berries, is that it can be used when encountering a wild Pokémon. This is to make them easier to catch and less jumpy, meaning that it’s a more easier target.

There are several types of Berries to choose from:

Razz Berries helps prevent the Pokemon from breaking free if an attempt is made to catch the Pokemon with the berry active. Razz Berries can also be used in the gym to feed your Pokemon.

Nanab Berries make the Pokemon easier to catch as it will slow down the Pokemon and make them less jumpy. Nanab Berries can also be used in the gym to feed your Pokemon, but it’s not advised as it won’t give much HP.

Pinap Berries will double the amount of candy from the Pokemon when caught, but only if your next attempt succeeds. As usual, these berries can also be used in the gym to feed your Pokemon

Golden Razz berries are more effective than the normal Razz Berries, as they will provide a higher success rate in catching the Pokemon. It’s Strongly Advised to use this candy in the gym as well, as it would instantly fill the full CP of the Pokemon.

Silver Pinap Berries combine the effect of Razz Berries, making it less likely for a Pokémon to break free from a Poké Ball, and Pinap Berries, give you 1 extra Candy when you catch a Pokémon than if caught with a Pinap Berry.

Poffins are wonderful treats that you can give to your buddy. When your buddy follows you under the influence of this tasty meal, it will reduce the amount of KM needed to obtain candy and Double hearts each time you complete something.
