You might have heard of it before, a very bad exploit that makes it impossible for us to enjoy Call of Duty games such as Black Ops 3. While Treyarch and Activision have been patching most of the ways, appears that it is still possible to hijack hosts and make your play session a horror game. They can steal your IP address, but even your GEO location, downloading unwanted software or even worse.. make your computer delete itself.
Recently, one of the videos from youtuber “nogla” showed that the exploit is still possible, as one of his friends got booted from the game within a minute of starting a match. Another user joined, immediately explaining that he was hacking himself into the server.
While we all thought that Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was safe once more, it’s still deemed to be possible to hijack other hosts. You could attempt to play the game by sharing the game with an alt account, but there is no guarantee it would work to prevent your sessions from becoming hijacked.
Is there a solution for all this?
Yes, there is indeed a solution to this problem. You could apply the community-made patch that allows you to safely play the game once more. See more here about it.
